Bio/Description

Omelan’s primary role is to breathe life into the classroom, bridging the gap between textbook theory and real-world applications, “bringing the textbook to life,” if you will. By staging live demonstrations, Omelan aims to deepen students’ understanding of the topics they’re learning. These engaging demos not only enhance comprehension but also contribute to better memory retention.

Among Omelan’s notable projects at Princeton are outreach programs featuring captivating demos presented worldwide. Additionally, Omelan has crafted web-based databases from scratch, contributed to the ACT telescope project, and devised ingenious solutions as an electrical and computer engineer.

Outside of academia, Omelan is nurturing a growing family and indulging in a pinball machine addiction—a fitting passion for an EE/Physics enthusiast!
