Laura Deevey started in 2002 as an Assistant Grants Manager progressing to her current role as Manager of Grants and Financial Operations.  Dedicated to providing exceptional service, she supports the needs of faculty, researchers, students and staff. 

With almost 40 years of experience in grants and budgets, Laura manages the Budget and Grants Office which handles pre- and post-award responsibilities.  She also manages the Procurement and Logistics Office, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of purchasing and shipping.  This also includes two stockroom facilities for Physics and other departments to utilize. 

Laura’s prior tenure was at New York University spanning 17 years.  She juggled full-time work with academic pursuits, earning both a BS in Accounting and an MPA in Finance Management from NYU.

In her free time, Laura enjoys the beach, traveling, movies and spending time with family which includes her daughter, son and two grandsons.
