Henry W. Lin will join Princeton’s physics department as an assistant professor in January 2026. He holds an A.B. in Physics and Mathematics from Harvard (2017) and a Ph.D. in Physics from Princeton University (2022). Currently he is completing a postdoc at Stanford University. Lin’s research centers on understanding the black hole interior in quantum gravity. He has approached this problem from multiple angles, from low dimensional holography to novel numerical techniques for solving strongly coupled quantum systems with many degrees of freedom.
