Darryl Johnson, the Logistics Coordinator for Shipping, Receiving, and Loading Dock in the Princeton University Department of Physics, plays a crucial role in managing domestic and international shipping requirements. His responsibilities include overseeing inbound and outbound deliveries, serving as the department’s Export Controls Expert, managing department van usage, handling surplus items, and being certified to operate both an electric pallet jack and a seated forklift.

Prior to joining the Physics staff in 2010, Darryl worked in the Princeton University Department of Printing and Mailing, where he held positions as a Senior Bindery Operator and Customer Service Supervisor. His extensive experience also includes 27 years of service in the US Air Force, specializing in logistics. His colleagues affectionately refer to him as the “Mayor of Physics,” recognizing his enthusiasm, integrity, and thoughtfulness in carrying out his job.
