Event Description

I will describe a composite Higgs scenario in which a cosmological relaxation mechanism naturally gives rise to a hierarchy between the weak scale and the compositeness scale. This is achieved through the scanning of explicit global symmetry breaking couplings, and in turn the composite Higgs potential, by a relaxion field during a long period of inflation in the early universe. The mechanism is explored in detail in a specific composite Higgs model with QCD-like dynamics, and some potential experimental signatures of the scenario are highlighted.
