"The Microwave SQUID Multiplexing System in CMB Receivers"

The next generation of Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) anisotropy and polarization measurements aims to accommodate tens or even hundreds of thousands of transition-edge sensors (TES) in telescope focal planes to achieve greater sensitivity. This requires a new multiplexing readout system with a higher multiplexing factor than the widely used time-division multiplexing system (TDM). One candidate is the microwave SQUID multiplexer (uMux), which targets multiplexing 2000 sensors per line with a single pair of coaxial cables. I will present a review of uMux and its current development status.
