I will present the methodology behind the recent results from the Dark Energy Survey that produced one of the tightest low redshift constraints on the cosmological parameters to date. In a blinded analysis, we use fluctuations in the galaxy number density and the weak lensing shear (and their cross-correlation) to probe the growth of structure, and find good agreement with existing high and low redshift datasets (in the LCDM model). While giving a broad overview of the full analysis, I will also discuss some of the juicy details that enter, such as shear estimation and galaxy alignment modeling.
