Abstract: AliCPT-1 will be the first telescope observing the CMB at high altitude (5,200 m a.s.l.) from the northern hemisphere. In this talk, I will give an overview of the experiment and its science goal. I will present the design of the cryostat receiver, underlining how the instrument design meets the expected performance.
