A Message from the Chair

Welcome to the Department of Physics at Princeton University. As you explore this website, you will find a wealth of information about us: who we are, what research we do, what academic programs we offer,  what talks and seminars are scheduled, job openings, news items, and much more.

For our department members and current students, we use the website to communicate information about all kinds of matters. If you are new to the department and have a question about "how to ...", just poke about the website for a bit. Chances are, you will find the answer — or if not, please free to contact us and ask!

We extend a special welcome to prospective students of all kinds: high school students thinking of applying to Princeton, Princeton undergraduates thinking about majoring in physics, prospective graduate students. By exploring the site, you can learn about the vast range of research being done by our faculty, postdocs and students, learn about our undergraduate and graduate academic programs, and get information on admissions procedures and postdoctoral employment opportunities. And while you are here, please also check out our newsletter, twitter feed, and outreach activities.

Enjoy your visit!
